Will a spider bite give a bulls eye rash?

Will a spider bite give a bulls eye rash? I have a bite I got Sunday. I went the walk in yesterday morning when I noticed the bulls eye. The dr said it was a spider bite but I'm terrified of getting Lyme. I never found a tick on my anywhere though. The first black mark was the redness from the day one. The second was from the redness in Tuesday night. This is what it looked like yesterday morning before I went to the dr. No headaches, nausea or any other symptoms. The bite is very hot and tender.

Looks like a very classic Lyme rash. Doctors may still give you a hard time thanks to the IDSA treatment guidelines. Usually the rash means Lyme, period and you need prompt treatment. According to Dr. Horowitz a leading LLMD

I'm glad you said it already lindsey, absolutely tick bite

Looks like tick bite.

Looks like Lyme to me... You can order NutraMedix products and treat yourself... Or at least Goldenseal for a few weeks. I wouldn't take chances. And I don't trust all doctors.

I agree... She said she saw a doctor, that's why I said I don't trust ALL doctors.

Lyme. Do not back down - INSIST on getting tested for it. That's Lyme if I've ever seen it.

Eryn Atkins

How do you get tested for it?

Kala Jackson 3 years

Blood test for it.

Bonnie Oleary 3 years

If u get antibiotics now u should be fine

Rebecca Reyna

If it were brown recluse, she'd know by now. Looks like a tick bite.

How do you feel? Do you have a fever? This looks like lymes. You can't take a chance.

Janet Knapp
J

I feel okay. My temp was 97.7 at the dr yesterday

Kala Jackson 3 years

You may not have any symptoms whatsoever until it has progressed.. Seriously, your best bet is to treat this as Lyme.. You really don't want to wait

Nicole Ryan 3 years

Kala Jackson Please remember that the test for lymes isn't accurate. It measures the spirokeetes and your body won't build them up right away. You can't take a chance. Lymes is deadly!

A tick can be the size of a pin head, and yes that is a Bullseye!!

my daughter had the same thing & it was a spider bite.. We treated it with silver & it was better within a few days:)

Natasha Bingham

it was years ago & she was seen by a doctor & she is fine:)

Natasha Bingham 3 years

I have to agree. Any bite is going to clear up regardless of what did the biting.. But any disease from the bite can manifest at any other time. Only poison from a spider will show immediately.

Nicole Ryan 3 years

Lyme can be dormant for years with no symptoms.

Nicole Ryan 3 years

thanks for your opinions but my daughter is fully healthy & fully whole & covered by the blood of Jesus;)

thanks again.. But as i said.. She was seen/treated by a Doctor & she is fully healthy;)

Thanks guys. As much as I hate taking antibiotics, I'd rather not mess around in case it is Lyme. My dr yesterday gave me a rx for doxy for the "spider bite". Either way the rx is the same so I'm just going to load up on probiotics, kombucha, fermented foods etc and take the antibiotics too. I appreciate all the help.

Kala Jackson
K

But how long of a course? See above post, if it's not a minimum of 4-6 weeks it can easily still turn into chronic Lyme. So the amount of doxy is crucial. Probiotics are a great idea to keep yeast in check.

Lindsey Muniz 3 years

And don't forget coinfections! It's very rare to be bitten and just get Lyme, doxy doesn't cover everything like viruses and parasites such as babesia etc.

Lindsey Muniz 3 years

Trust me there are very few situations where i feel prescription antibiotics are needed but acute Lyme infection is one of them because I've seen what happens when it turns chronic from not being treated properly in the first place

Lindsey Muniz 3 years

Lindsey Mahlin I agree.

Kala Jackson 3 years

Ok well sounds like you are getting treatment right away which is good. For example I had 10 days of doxy followed by a couple shorter courses a few weeks later and it did nothing. Having several weeks continuously is important. Keep an eye out for any residual symptoms, good luck

To my knowledge GERMANY is the ONE and ONLY location for a thorough Lyme disease diagnosis. Demand Germany

Cindy Estes
C

is there a lab we must send to in Germany? Please pm... Whoever nows. İ am mega sick. And i read that any biting bug can spread lyme, co infections and other stuff like mycoplasma

Shannon Madrid
S

Idk about Germany. But there's a newer test called nanotrap that is supposed to be 98% accurate, but it doesn't look for coinfections. We have a local LLMD offering it but I haven't heard much about it in the Lyme groups yet. Besides that Igenex is considered the most accurate lab. I'm not aware of Lyme tests you can totally order yourself unfortunately, a doctor needs to sign off on them and usually only an LLMD will do you should try to see one if possible. If not, you could attempt Elisa and western blot testing through a normal lab and Doctor there's just a higher chance of a false negative. Still there's no test that can 100% say you don't have Lyme available today. So... You need to go off of history of bites, symptoms, trial and error with treatment etc. With the addition of labs

Lindsey Muniz 3 years

and i heard that igenex is made up of the people on the ilads or other so opinions of "best company" are biased. İ have heard that Galaxy Labs is best for bart. İn the states. İf ones iimmune is too low it cant show an ab or raise a red flag.... Per my past LLMDS. Ugh.

Shannon Madrid 3 years

Shannon Madrid Igenex has been investigated, they have a higher rate of positives because it's a difficult test to perform with a high error rate that they specialize in and most people using the lab know they have Lyme based off symptoms but have already tried other labs first. IDSA guideline docs will try to say it's weird that they get so many positives or something which is BS lol. I tested positve for Lyme through them but only had 41 band at other labs, but I tested positive for many coinfections at both a local lab and Igenex. So it's hard to say. Galaxy is supposed to be good for Bart but Bart has a ton of false negatives due to them only being able to test for 2 out of 30+ strains that exist. So that one is definitely a clinical diagnosis.

Put some Colloidal Silver on it if it's a spider bite it will help it. May not help tick bite but sure won't hurt.

Bonnie Oleary

not colloidal.... Has to be iodine to penetrate the skin.. 50 cent size circle thru out the day for 3 or 4 days.

Treat this as Lyme. Go get an antibiotic. Don't wait. My daughter-in-law did and is very sorry. She now has fibro and other problems.

Linda Bowden

Silver silver silver.

Diatomaceous Earth, Diatomaceous Earth, Diatomaceous Earth.

Right now, and lots of it. Even if you decide to take antibiotics too. There's too much antibiotics won't touch, and most of the time Lymes is one of them!

Brittany Coker

Odd coloring for a tick bite, but needs to be checked for Lyme. I had it for a year b4 I realized what was going on.

Carol Macdonald
C

That might be a bite from a brown recluse spider. They do cause a bull's eye mark.

Diane Bowles
D

It's so strange. Everyone I talk to is 100% convicted it's either a brown recluse or Lyme. Good thing is that doxycycline treats both. We're treating it as lime. However I'm continuing to our an anti aged charcoal and bentonite clay paste on the be as well as take the antibiotics. So whether it's Lyme or or a brown recluse, I think it'll be okay. Thank you again for all your input.

Kala Jackson
K

I'm also a photographer. I shot this session three weeks ago. I had no idea it takes 3-30 days for a Lyme rash to appear. So it could have been from this field. Or a spider from this weekend. Who knows? Either way I have natural remedies and antibiotics and probiotics to cover all the bases!

I always see pics in tall fields of grass like that and they make me cringe now bc ticks love tall grass! Lol very well could be from this, but really you can get it anywhere I've been bitten in a city

Lindsey Muniz 3 years

More likely a tick... A recluse would have caused sickness within an hour or so...

Igenex lab! And make sure you get more than 30 days of Doxy..... Smh I'm with HOLISTIC Dr's all HERBS! Good luck, most LLMD's are getting shut down my the government and our Homeopathic / Holistic as well.... HORRIBLE world we live in.... CURES... Ha.... BIG PHARMA won't make money!

Brenda Wyatt 3 years

Start some Teasel Root and Lyme X ..... Amazon sells it... Detox your body of sugars... Need to kill the parasites... İts early so you should be good.... YOU NEED Doxy ASAP!

Brenda Wyatt 3 years

A teaspoon of creme of tartar mixed with water and lemon juice. Taste just like lemonade, will stop the bacteria from growing and kill bad bacteria from the bite. You will sweat since it takes out impurities out of the body, just shower later. I had a spider bite on my face and used this remedy and it worked I drank it three times that day slept it off, the next day no redness at all

Eloise Akins

Ticks are not the only insect with Lyme. May have been at one paint but not anymore. It's for sure a bullseye and antibiotics are messesry. Whatever you do make sure you are treated for longer than two weeks! That's standard and it's not correct. Some people take years of antibiotics for Lyme. A new bite not so much but for sure longer than two weeks!

Lyme disease long term meds destroy your stomach etc... Personal experience

Sis Sanchez 3 years

You always have to take precautions and make an extra effort to help your stomach. And if there is something that can you can find works that's natural that's the best there are things out there but you have to be aggressive. The he sooner the better. I just know how difficult it is to treat (I have Lyme and have for at least 5 or 6 years and work for a Lyme dr.) main thing is to get the Lyme killed because that will destroy everything if not treated not just your stomach.

Kayla Flores 3 years

Will activated charcoal stain the skin? I put a paste of activated charcoal and bentonite clay on the bite yesterday. Cleaned it off after 30 mins or so. When I woke up this morning the bite area is a little on the blackish side.

Kala Jackson

Black like the little dot in the middle like this? Or your skin is tumbled black?

CLASSIC lyme disease

Brenda Wyatt 3 years

Wow the bottom left is like 10000000% a bullseye if you had any questions re that lol but put tea tree oil on it a few times today incase it's a bacteria of some sort because you don't want anything to open up. (The progression of the leg I sent you is not pretty) but for sure don't ignore Lyme even when the rash is gone, Lyme is not. The color looks like from the charcoal though. I have never used it though so I can't say 100%

Kayla Flores

Take oregano oil it treats all types of things and is safer...
