What is the longest everybody has waited for a seed to pop? Put 2 beans into Jiffy pucks last Tuesday, 1 is already repotted and growing along, and the other hasn’t popped her head yet. Worth waiting, or should I get another seed going? Conditions are right where they should be.

I would give it a little longer. Try adding some more moisture if possible.
It’s nice and moist in it’s little dome. I have added water a couple times to keep the pellet saturated and the humidity high
I’ve waited upto two weeks but majority four five days
Thanks. Have you seen one finally pop after waiting the two weeks? Or was that just to be sure it was a dud?
Yeh sure did pop and grow but wasn’t the fastest growin compared to the others
Mirsh Chamberlain Good to know. Suppose I am being impatient. Thanks lol
Some seeds just ain't fertile
After 5,6 days if she ain't I'm it's a really good chance she's not coming up
the only plant i had flourish from my first outdoor grow was a mystery bean (i think from mexican mids) that was stored in the cupboard above the stove for 4+ years on an old rolling tray.
Jacob Hickey Yeah, seeds can last forever. However, we are referring to germination time.
sorry just woke up i forgot to add in it took 4 days in water and then one more after me giving it a little help to get it going wasnt hard just roll it gently between your fingers but im growing outside in the northern hemisphere that has really cold nights and heat waves during the day, which is a whole nother animal than growing indoors.
If it doesnt pop in two days, it aint vigorous enough for me and goes in the trash.
I feel you there, I am tempted to start a 3rd, my only issue is that I am planning on running two for this grow.. And can’t really bring myself to throw away a seed that I paid decent money for.
Good seed will show a roottip in under 24 hours in a wet paper towel warm and dark,
Even a hard thick seed only takes 2 days.
