My husband is getting belly fat despite eating less and exercising.

he eats tortillas everyday, i know its not good. But he isnt a snack or sweets fan.
should he measure his food while only eating certian foods? He can't do dairy either.
pleaseeeeee help me help him.

Everyone has a different way but to me its not eating processed foods, grains, dairy, etc. Eat only foods from the earth and add good probiotics.

All good advice. Additionally, if he really loves the tortillas, there are 50 calorie, low carb, high fiber tortillas you can buy. They're good. About $4 for 8CT.

I would also get a complete blood count WITH hormone panel done his Testosterone levels could be in the trash can if his Test is low ask if the endo will prescribe Nandrolone instead of testosterone it replaces all testosterone functions yet is healthy and friendlier on his HPTA without all the side effects of T
But either way is a start I'd also look at his Growth hormone out put and thyroid function however see if he can get T3 instead of synthroid ( t4) it's t4's bigger stronger brother
I went on testosterone HGH and t3 and living it I'm very lean
Couple that with a paleo or Keto diet with resistance training and he's golden
Also INCREASE his essential fats as well as protein

More fruits the wieght will drop off fast. The belly or gut will take longer. Have him suck his gut in and count to ten twice a day. A physical therapist had me do this. It was working but it made me pee and go all the time. If he can get iver that good for him. Also get off the bread and tortillas as I did. He will lose wieght fast and feel better, it surprised me 2 pant sizes down.

Dean Coley fruits are essential, I eat a lot of fruit, but there are high glycemic fruits and low glycemic fruits, so I try to eat mostly low glycemic fruits and also vegetables. Example, white russet potatoes are high glycemic and reds are lower, Yukon Gold potatoes are even lower. I eat a lot of sweet potatoes, I just steam them, they are lower glycemic then yams. The high glycemic foods I really try to avoid are white bread and pastries. When I do eat bread, I choose a lot of fiber and organic. Best to you!!!
