I know the pt has been having me do major back arches to fix my hip. So maybe the spasms are from that I don’t know.

I get them servere. I'm on diazepam 15mg and haven't had really bad ones since. Also stay hydrated.

Keep hydrated, gentle movement and a hot water bottle/ hot pack of some kind. Be sure to put some form of protection between the heat and yourself ie a towel.

It’s important to know if it’s spasm or cramp. Sometimes cramp can be fixed with something as simple as a banana and a stretch. A spasm is a bit more difficult.

I get severe leg, calf, shin, toe, foot cramps. I take magnesium. My naturopath told me I should be taking magnesium citrate. When all else fails I take a shot of raw apple cider vinegar because it provides instant potassium and immediately takes the cramps away. If you don’t have acv then pickle juice can work too

I sometimes use Horse Chestnut and it does seem to help.

In the past, I could cause spasms, cramps, tics, and other unusual symptoms (like diplopia) by eating foods with omega 6 cooking oils (like Cheddar's onion rings) when I had a high cytokine load and many autoimmune problems. A NIH article I read associated inflammation caused by omega 6 oils to neurodegenerative diseases.

Two bananas a day would keep the cramps at bay! Plus the hydration and stretching exercises.
Bananas are rich in potassium and other vitamins.

Lower back spasms. Hot hot showers are the only thing I have found to bring some relief. Sometimes it works on the first shower sometimes it takes several.
