Dianna Carrillo they don't have to be replaced every 10 years. I think that was with very early models - many women now have them for many years without issues. There's a risk of issues where they may have to be replaced, but that can happen any time.
It only does on some people. Many people have this done with no issues. And as for the scar tissue, there is not a lot as long as you are not having radiation.
I heard of a procedure instead of silicone, they can take fat from other parts of your body and insert them in the breast. Seems a lot better but idk much about it
You can certainly do that if you want the scarring. It will form scar tissue in all of the places instead of just the breasts. They will also react to weight changes with you.
It's rare to have an issue. Silicone implants require checking yearly after 10 years. Saline requires no checking unless they deflate (which you'll know if they do). I've worked with plastic surgeons for the last 10 years. Aside from anesthesia complications, the actual implants aren't a concern.
Issues seem to be more common with silicone but there's a risk with anything. I have had them done twice- I had an issue with the first set but the second has been fine. I've had the second set for 12 years now. Hopefully I won't need to do it again.
I have saline and had one bust at 11 years and the other was/still is fine. That's why I got saline so I didn't have to worry about anything if they busted and they can bust for no reason! The biggest problem is getting a mammogram (if that is something you do) it takes alittle longer because they have to make sure the implant is pushed back to get a good picture. Ultrasound or thermography is better for cancer screening especially if you have implants
I have them saline, under the muscle..... Almost 12 years... No problems.... And no they do not need to be replaced every 10 years. You have them checked and replaced only if needed or have a problem
I wouldn't mess with with implants try collegen. I've been taking after 6 kids and breastfeeding my breasts are back to normal. I swear by it. I take collegen 1 and 3.
I decided to love myself just the way I was made by Heavenly Father and my Parents.... I am almost 46 yrs. Old and with stretch marks and everything that comes with aging and not to brag but I date more than the beautiful fit girls, and on my first date I tell the guys that If i marry not to expect a super model lol. We laugh and then proceed with getting to know our personalities. I think your beautiful just the way you are and I see All the women in the world the Same way.
tatiana you could do fat transfer instead of implants. Trust me as someone who regrets having them put in and is getting them removed next year (major surgery that has risks) its way better to not get them in the first place
As an aside, I had a mastectomy due to breast cancer and am considering removing my implant to have nothing but a scar. (As I am so thin, fat transfer is not an option for me )
Scarring, loss of sensation, infection, deflation. Its a major surgery and not every guy wants big breasts. As someone with large breasts they are heavy, and cause back problems. Most women who get implants have them re-done and go bigger again. We all need to learn to love ourselves. The right person will love you for you no matter your size or proportions.
Encapsulation, chest wall collapse(sister just had this) replacements needed every 10 or so years. Just a few of the things I've watched Marilyn go through. 5 chest surgeries!
The people in the explant group are a self selected group of people, most of whom have had serious health issues due to their implants. I'm a member of that group and haven't had any health issues from my implant that I am aware of, but I am still considering having it removed and just having one breast. (Recent breast cancer survivor here:) On the other hand I may wait to see if I am one of those persons who does not seem to be as affected by them... İt is a tough decision.
i have many friend who have had them. They were hugely popular in the 90's. İf you never have any complications with them, you will need to change them after 7-10 years (maybe they last longer now I don't know), so if you plan on living to 100, it's something that typically needs to be redone.
Thanks everyone for your input! I am not considering having this done it's just something I have wondered about and thought there must be more to it than what doctors will tell. Several of my friends have had it done and the recovery and meds they had to take seemed so awful.
The only thing you have to worry about is them braking or leaking. If they do that you will have complications.
They don't have to break to cause problems.
My major concern would be the immune response to something foreign in the body. Scar tissue forms and can cause long term pain and other issues
That's exactly what I'm looking for... Effects on the immune system from having a foreign object in the body. I don't trust it being safe.
I would love to have them. After breastfeeding..i need some help. Just cant help but wonder what the immune response would be
And they have to be replaced every 10 years. So they say...
My sister has them. Never had any issues. But i also know many women who have had problems.

I have them and they are not bad
The body naturally attacks them. This can trigger more serious health problems

Until you lose weight and then it's gone
Who needs to lose weight if they take the fat from my stomach and butt!!! Lol

Look up breast implant illness healing warriors lots of info. Wish I'd known what I know now
What if you have a hyper immune system?
That could be very problematic for you.
Ugh
What about mammagrams?
Issues seem to be more common with silicone but there's a risk with anything. I have had them done twice- I had an issue with the first set but the second has been fine. I've had the second set for 12 years now. Hopefully I won't need to do it again.

Had them for 4 years and no issues. Silicone and happy with them
I've had saline for 10 years and no problems
Be "Proud" of who you are. That's all that counts. If someone cannot accept you as you are, they are not acceptable either.
Every scar every cut messes up the Meridians

Breast cancer.
12 years saline over the muscle 2 kids no issues
Lust in unwanted people.
No. Lust.
Never mind. Being slightly satirical.
Not all women get implants because they want to show them off (bare) to anyone.
I think he may mean that others will look at you more lustfully whether you want them to or not.

69 out of how many?
Idk but I have no issues and it's the best thing I've ever done.

Well you can't take statistics from a group of mostly people who have issues. You have to have a mix. Not everyone is going to say it's a bad thing.
i have many friend who have had them. They were hugely popular in the 90's. İf you never have any complications with them, you will need to change them after 7-10 years (maybe they last longer now I don't know), so if you plan on living to 100, it's something that typically needs to be redone.
It's usually 10 to 15 yrs.
They check them after 10.
Leaking that makes you very nauseous
