What are your thoughts on magnesium supplements? I didn't think it was helping until I ran out a few days ago. I started feeling really awful, so I picked up a new bottle and feel so much better. Anyone else experienced this?
Yes, magnesium is great for all sorts of things. Not just for joints, muscles and cramps, it’s also really good for depression and anxiety.
Yes! I take a supplement at bedtime and soak in epsom salts a few times a week.
I take magnesium malate

oh and changing my diet.... İ took out all foods i am allergic to according to my allergy test.

Mary Kerns how many mgs?
Clare Mathis let me check.....
Are you taking any other supplements mary? I’m so exited for you that you have no pain! Do you have any joint deformities or limitations? How much magnesium are you taking?
I take Co-q10 as well and also vitamin D when i need it. Im outside alot during summer so i dont take as much of that. I do epsom salt baths about twice a week and swim 3-4 times a week.... That has helped so much. I have arthritis in my back, hands and knees but since going on the new diet my hands and knees havent hurt at all. My back only hurts when i sit too long or sit on the floor hunched over with my kids lol. The more i move the less i hurt. I have added alot of garlic to my food and avocado to stuff like tacos and chips. I eat alot of fruit and veggies too. Magnesium is what helps me sleep. I honestly think what helped me the most was taking out gluten and egg. Im allergic to egg and wheat. I dont do dairy either except occasional shredded cheese on broccoli or something.
When i was having flares my left hand got the worst.... İ would have to brace it in a thumb stabilizer and use that for a few days 24/7. I ice my knees when they do hurt (which has been awhile) and my back i cant really do much for when it hurts.... But i try to move more so it doesnt. I usually try to stop eating around 7pm and only have water until 10am. Then i clean around the house and go for a short walk before eating my 1st meal... Sometimes its a bowl of oatmeal, sometimes its a smoothie. Then around 1pm i eat a sweet potato or a salad with rotisserie chicken and lots of veggies (italian dressing) bc i cant have dairy. I only drink water and for dinner i eat around 530-6 with my kids. If i eat tacos i only eat corn shells with ground turkey and lettuce, beans and avocados. I eat alot of rice and take a probiotic several times a week. I think the key is to healing the gut. Putting more good in then bad. Your gonna mess up some but i try to eat this way 95% of the time.... With once or twice a week of indulging a bit.
300 mg a day of magnesium.... Prob should be doing 500mg.
