Kim Day I've told him. I haven't quit yet so he def is doing better than me. I'm so moody with pre meno I figured I wait a little bit before I tried to. He's moody enough for the both of us. Lol He actually is doing better with that to. The first 3 weeks he was really bad with mood swings.
My mother was a chain smoker for many years. But when her doc told her to quit smoking for health reasons, she just threw out her packs of cigarettes and never look back. She is 88 yrs old now. Amazing how she did it without any fuss of withdrawal symptoms... I guess it varies from each person how to deal with quitting nicotine. Thinking back it must be the "will" to quit that made it easier for her.
It is so much of the will! I don't get nicotine withdrawals, maybe I do but i don't think anyway, it's the physical habit that gets me stressed. I'm so happy to hear she quit, you get extra time that would've been taken from you if she hadn't!
I also counted up the days and set small goals. First was a month, than 3 months, than 6 months, than a year. I counted each day and cheered myself on. I smoked 2 packs a day too
Lol. I never smoked a lot but would here and there, cigarettes and cigars but when I would go to the gym and jog/run I immediately felt better and wanted nothing to do with smoking.
