Is this a good general materials list? First time grower, trying to be as efficient as possible without going overboard. Any other important items that I will need? I forgot to add magnification loupe.
I have a 1200w led that has 3 fans on it rated for 200 something watts draw i think. But i'll probably need other lights for the sides of the plant to get full coverage correct? The ducting looks like it just connects to the walls of the tent though.
I just want to make sure i get my money back in yield because if not i could just save myself the trouble and buy from a dispensary. Regardless, i'm sure there will be plenty of moments where I have to just wing it.
just get you a four site DWC set up shop around.. You can find nice kit setups on Amazon which is discrete enough.. Find a place to keep a mother.. İf you keep it in veg then it doesnt smell.. Then just run clones in a DWC in the tent.. You could get some decent personal weight out of a tent the size like you are talking about..
One to clean the air coming in and i guess one to keep the smell down on ventilation? I have a feeling my neighbors will not be forgiving if they smell bud
is there any reason to be concerned with the smell? İf not a concern you don't need all that ventilation stuff for a tent that size imo.. Just a couple of home depot fans will suffice and you will breath more than enough co2 when you are in there working on them
I found a tent to go with, Oshion 4 ftx4 ftx6.5 ft. Just need to figure out what size inline fans/ducting to get. And i'm going to do DWC because I realize now that my buddy gave me air pumps and some other stuff for that sort of grow.
Guys this is all over board for a first time grower shame it's gonna cost a fortune rather just get a pot Good potting soil A seed And good sunshine (no light meets the suns power) and it's free You will only need nutes once budding if you use good soil
Unfortunately this grow has to be indoors. And the cost is definitely going to be up there but I think that with the proper equipment and planning I will get a good harvest.
I think we are seeing an evolution in growers.. That ol throw a seed in the ground echoes of days long gone by.. Yes I am one of those guys.. But from my years of experience I can tell you without a doubt going into a grow with a gameplan is most beneficial.. I fricking love it man.. The more growers we can help be successful the better chance we have at decriminalization.. I will help ANY body be successful at growing herb in any way I can til the day I die. OVERGROW the planet
Tbh, even if youre growing indoors, you dont need atleast, a quarter of that stuff for a first grow. I say, just get a grow under your belt, THEN get more technical after you have an idea of what youre doing. Also, depending on your lights, be preparred to MAAYBE be a tad shocked at your electricity bill lol
way overboard on ventilation depending on the grow. Two oscilating fans is a bit much. Fan speed controller? Thys your first grow dudw, just put some seeds in the ground and take care of your plants.
Get real into balancing canopy spectrum and light rails on a cmh haha. you could do some pretty sick setups if you didnt care about cost but at some point its just gonna become obsolete anyways. Cirrus 1000 watt cob is gonna be my next light, havent went led yet
You have a ph and humidity meter but you also need one for temp.
Ya grab a ppm meter with a temp setting blu lab makes a good one make sure you keep your feed water at the right temp
Pots
Seeds
Tlc
Also bug prevention nothing is worse that not having stuff to fight mites on hand or other critters
Worm castings
Air pump
Air stone
Bucket
Small burlap bag
Brew 12-24hrs
someone mentioned putting juice in a cup covering it with saran wrap and poking holes in it?
forgot to add how many plants you are growing???
Just one if i can learn how to spread it out for a larger than average yield.
Patience
Temp and a gauge for adding nutrients so you add the right amount
EC or PPM meter and c02
CO2 in a tent is a waste of time and money because all you do is suck the CO2 out with your inline fan
Alright, thanks.
Connect ducting on each side of the light? Run one side outside the tent, and the other outside the tent
That tents gonna heat up and get stagnant unless you're running like a 250w hps. Other than that, you're gonna need to exchange that air..

Smart pots
You don't need all that. Just get pots and lights and improvise along the way
That’s what I just did n seeds lol.
well some measure of planning is always good but I do advocate that people grow into how they want to grow
I just want to make sure i get my money back in yield because if not i could just save myself the trouble and buy from a dispensary. Regardless, i'm sure there will be plenty of moments where I have to just wing it.

DWC is the medium by the way Deep water Culture
How big a tent? In my 4' x 4', one each of osc. Fan, carbon filter & ducting fan worked fine.
Forgot Conway Twitty tunes lmao
Marijuana Grower's Handbook by Ed Rosenthal.
Wow I never use all that stuff but mine is in closet couple fans thermometer dirt nutes seeds earthworm casings
And Conway twitty tunes
3x3x78 or 4x4x78 tent. Planned on just growing one humongous plant if possible
If its in your budget, I would get the bigger tent
Two fans and two filters?!?!

Yes, i have a feeling my neighbors will not be forgiving if they smell bud
will the carbon filter on the vent take care of the smell?
well then thats a good list for what you are trying to do then.. They will only smell it when you are smoking it
John Vargas actually you can smoke it in the closet with the carbon filters and it will clean the air.
well as long as its herb and not tobacco.. Cause then you put your plants at risk for tobacco mosaic virus
Good Lord Mann put dem seeds in sum dirt n getter goin
Humidifier
Oh you will need a few more things before you get to the magnification trust me
Instead of getting a loupe... Get a macro lens for your phone camera... Way easier to use and about the same price.

I think for your smell concerns one filter will be fine... Overkill probably.. But it will eliminate your anxiety over it
So far i have a 1200w led with switches on it for veg and bloom, i read that i should just have both of them on always.

I'll just grab one fan then, thanks. I need to keep the smell down as much as possible though so I feel like I need all of that ventilation.
nice to see the devils represented
LETS GO DEVILS!!!
Tampa Bay lightening in the house
well I think I am a Thrasher or some kind of wild game fowl
Youre gonna want to have an ac unit on standby or just do a dry run to see temps if youre using mh/hps
I have a 1200w LED, but plan on buying a few more small leds in different kelvin to hopefully get some nice coverage around the plant/plants
