Natural remedy Recommendations to stop smoking

Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone knows a natural remedy to stop smoking? My husband wants to stop (thank the lord! I have only nagged him for years... Btw nagging doesn’t work for this lol). About 6 years ago he took a doc recommend pill.. Safe to say that won’t be happening again with me around! So any suggestions would be very helpful I was thinking maybe acupressure if anyone has info on that as well.. Thanks all!

I got hypnotised. A bit expensive but it worked for me.

Yes we were thinking of that too! I used it when I badly hurt my knee so I’m a big advocate for that... We have had some friends use it as well and had success

Lol sorry for some reason I was thinking of acupuncture but I have heard that hypnosis works well too!!

Stop all caffeine. Caffeine is a stimulant and nicotine has a calming effect. So when “up” they crave a calming agent (nicotine). Both caffeine and nicotine are pesticides.
Also, try using niacin in the flush form (nicotinic acid)!!

Start with a whole body detox. I did it by drinking 8.5 pH Kangen water

Hi fred! I actually give him my detox salt bath every week and it really has helped him cut down (3 cigarettes a day now) but he is not great with his water intake

Courtney Holmes 3 years

Try giving him Kangen water. Its a game changer

Lick an ashtray. I put them down and never went back.
Or hypnosis/nlp.... Same principle. link something very unpleasant to smoking and you will quit.

Haha he didn’t lick an ashtray but he has tried just eating a cigarette trick but it didn’t work in the long term

My husband did hypnotism and it worked.

Tami Silva

Hmmm I’m liking the sounds of hypnotism more and more... We are a law of attraction kind of family so I know he would be open to hypnotism.. tami how long did your husband go for?

Courtney Holmes 3 years

Courtney only one session and it really worked.

Tami Silva 3 years

really!? Ok I’m going to look into one in my area... İf you don’t mind me asking how much does it cost roughly?

Courtney Holmes 3 years

Courtney Holmes my parents did it together. My dad was able to quit for 6 months following but it didn’t work for my mother (which is probably what contributed to my dad’s relapse) definitely worth a try

Courtney it was over 20 years ago. He responded to an ad in the newspaper.

mind over matter don't quit just don't smoke today if you tell your brain you are going to quit your brain tells you that you are not a quitter then makes you go into a got to have a cigarette mode as long as you tell your brain just for today. Today will turn into 12 years ago i tricked my brain thinking I was just not smoking today

And what did you do when you still had cravings? Do you still have cravings? Hoe long did it take keep tricking yourself? Thank you

Take him to a lung patients room. That should do it. And post pictures of what his lungs look like, and what his health will ultimately be if he continues. Takes 48 hours chemically. Will power and true motivation is how you do it. Wanting to be healthy. Oh, and cost out how much he spends in a month, and year on cigarettes. Paying to die I said to myself. Stopped 10 years ago cold turkey

Depends how stubborn they are. I’m a nurse who works in skilled nursing and for a asthma/allergy clinic and no matter how many examples and how many pts he’s been introduced to I cannot get any headway with my fiance

EFT Tapping, very effective, takes very little time and costs nothing. It's on YouTube, just follow along. I like Brad Yates and Nick and Jessica Ortner.

I actually use tapping as a tool in my practice but he isn’t very receptive to it at this point... But he is coming around more lol

I read that every time he craves a cigarette he should take a drop of Peppermint oil... İt affects the pleasure trigger in the brain... And replaces the nicotine desire

That is interesting I’m going to look into some research on that! Thanks sally!

I used hypnosis and thrive gum. Worked like a charm.

I have finally quit after 15 years of trying. Vitamin D and Garcinia Cambogia took away every craving for nicotine. Garcinia Cambogia is a natural serotonin releaser, so it does for us smokers, what nicotine does for us and gives us that "comfort" or "relaxing" feeling. I have had ZERO cravings or nicotine fits!! Please look into this.

Haley Kim

Thank you I will look into it!

Courtney Holmes 3 years

I had taken Garcinia Cambogia for weight management. I'll have to look into this!!

Shelby Weeks 3 years

You really have to want to quit. If you do. It’s simple. Put the cigs down. Replace with something healthier. I chewed gum and zip ties. Yes I chewed on zip ties. Oh and flossing.

I smoked for 25 years and have been quit for going on 2 years. To start with i used the patches and graduated to using the nicitine gum. One of the hardest things I've done but praise God I did it. Philippines 4:13 I can do all things threw Christ who gives me strength. That wasband still is what I hold on to.

Candi Whitehead

Thank you all for the suggestion of the patch and nicotine gum but he wants to do it a natural way that doesn’t still use low doses of nicotine

Pinch of stevia under tongue. Don't know if this works, but what can it hurt!

Kate Cisneros 3 years

People always seem to dismiss this idea, but it was absolutely PARAMOUNT to my quitting. I read a book called the Easy Way to Stop Smoking by Allen Carr. He has a way of making you change your mind into realizing that smoking is not even something you want to do anymore, and that you want to rid yourself of it.... Because it's the truth. We just don't realize how gross and controlled we are, and how free and happy we can be but the book actually changes our mind. We don't think we are giving up something good, we realize we are getting rid of something bad.

. It's basically cognitive therapy and it has worked for literally millions. I can't say enough. And no, I don't get residuals from it. Lol
