Colloidal silver, make sure it's a good one

Chris Cho
C

Coconut oil or breast milk. The Soverign Silver colloidal silver felt scratchy in my sons and my eyes

Tiffany Lovell
T

Yes that's exactly why I said it needs to be a good quality one

Chris Cho 3 years

Sovereign silver is good quality though

Tiffany Lovell 3 years

Do you know what it's base is?

Chris Cho 3 years

How do I apply the coconut oil? Thanks

Andy Stephens 3 years

I have coconut oil, I don't have any silver....

I've successfully used lavender and melaleuca oils highly diluted around the eye socket bones.

I did apply filled diluted tea tree... Thanks for the tip, I want to try the coconut oil too

Andy Stephens 3 years

Stephanie Hendrix 3 years

I recently cleared mine up quickly by using silver I soaked one of those makeup pads in silver and laid in on my eyes squeezing it ever now and then it helped sooth them and it was gone in a few days

Thanks. Wish I had some silver...

Andy Stephens 3 years

I keep some on hand always I know it's a holiday here but there are lots of places that carry it maybe just a cool water compress untill you can get some? Remember to use something disposable or a clean towel each time

Rosie Diggs 3 years

1/2 tsp of Manuka honey in 1/4 cup of distilled water.. Warmed. Let cool. Put in dropper bottle and apply two drops every 4 hours.

Melissa Darby

THIS. My three year old son's pink eye just cleared up yesterday and I did this exactly, plus held cooled chamomile tea bags under his eyes a few times just to relieve some itching in between the drops.

Marlee Valentin 3 years

Oh wait the recipe I used had less honey and a pinch of sea salt. 1/4 tsp honey, pinch of sea salt, 1/4 cup warm water.

Marlee Valentin 3 years

I️ always left out the salt and it still worked

Melissa Darby 3 years

I was wondering what the point of the salt even was but every good source I found through Google had the salt in it so I just followed the herd so to speak lol

Marlee Valentin 3 years

Marlee Valentin I use that one too!

Thanks, does Walmart have any good silver? That's the only store around me....

Andy Stephens 3 years

That's what I do for my kids and it goes away! My 3mnth old has one as we speak, day 2 just being patient and spraying silver in her eye

Hunni Bright 3 years

I doubt Wal-Mart has it. No health food stores around? That stinks!!!

Sarah Larson 3 years

I saw some at a Walmart kind of store but it looked sketchy af I wouldn't trust it

Hunni Bright 3 years

Ya you could Google the brand and see what you could find out about it

Sarah Larson 3 years

Colloidal silver will take care of that quick!

Properly diluted lavender eo on the bones around the eye. It stings but clears up mostly by the next day. Apply 4x a day

Shannon Chambers
S

Dilution ratio? With water or oil?

Andy Stephens 3 years

Typically it's around 15-20 drops per one ounce of oil. Because it's near the eye and they are little, I would personally lower it to 10 drops. Coconut or olive oil are both great to use. Water should never be used

Shannon Chambers 3 years

Looks like silver is the winner.... All I have around me is Walmart.... What are the best brand s
? Do I dilute it? Thanks

Andy Stephens
A

No, I just put a drop or two in each eye.

About 70% to 80% of pink eye is viral and will clear on its own within 3-7 days. You could do warm compress for iritation. But other than that i would recommend breastmilk if you have it

Sliced potato placed on the eye. A warm honey bath applied and it will go before tomorrow.

Cathy Pelletier
C

For how long? How often

Andy Stephens 3 years

I didn't time it I just asked my son to put it on his eye and then did the honey bath on his eye. I couldn't believe how quickly an eye he couldn't open was healed.

Cathy Pelletier 3 years

How do you do a honey bath?

Rachel Huff 3 years

Breast milk worked

Kat Greer

Colloidal silver

Christina Gardner

This is what worked for us when breast milk, CS and nothing else worked. Warm sea salt water. So soothing and takes any itch away too. Warm sea salt water in the eyes every 2 hrs and the next day the infection will be gone. This even worked fast for my daughter who's eyes were completely shut she had it so bad. Doesn't burn either. You can try it on yourself first.

Brandy Mcintosh
B

Just soak a cloth?

Andy Stephens 3 years

no i put drops in. If you drop some right at the corner of their eye by their nose it'll run in when they open their eyes. If it's warm it feel very nice.

Brandy Mcintosh 3 years

You can use a tsp if you don't have a dropper

Brandy Mcintosh 3 years

Cheapest and easiest: Hot moist compresses at least twice a day. The rag can also be moistened using sea salt water, or pink Himalayan salt water.... Needs to be about "normal saline" strength, or about 2 rounded teaspoons per quart of pure water.
Otherwise, we've simply used colloidal silver, at least 30 to 45 ppm., dropped onto eyes once or twice a day.... Has worked or our kids, us, and various cats [a common source of pink eye]. ~C
