My babe just stepped on an ant farm & they got her good what can I put on it? I put Tea Tree oil & Lavendar oil already but theyre getting swollen so Im worried
Colloidal Silver, internal too,
I already give her sovereign silver. If i already put oils on her can i do the silver too or wash the oils off first?
yes, then put the silver........
If it is really itchy - I would put rubbing alcohol and tooth paste. - i know it sounds weird but it always works for me.
Apple cider vinegar
Cool, that I have!!
this is what we always do!! Soak a wash cloth in Vinegar and wrap around the ankle
You can also mix the acv with baking soda & make a paste to put on the bites
This works great
Baking soda paste.
if its burning - I would skip the alcohol and just put on the toothpaste
Nope popular but the topical Benadryl works wonders.
Soak her foot in Epsom salt with baking soda and more tea tree
That will work
Omg looks painful
Alcohol and unseasoned adolph's meat tenderizer.
This one is definitely the most interesting!
Im really shocked at ppl saying alcohol. Shes only 1, isnt alcohol kinda harsh & not natural? I could be wrong but Ive never put alcohol on my kids
I Would throw my kids in a bath with baking soda and Epsom salts. A cooler bath not hot!
Don't forget good old icing for the swelling.
Fresh Plantain leaf to relieve pain/itch/inflamation. Iodine solution to dry bites out.
Plantain.... Chew it and put it on her foot
the only thing i can thing of is "cell food" they make a gel i think as i just put the liquid drop on a spider bite i have - it's stings as it full strength but i am an adult - the cream/gel is not as strong
ammonia draws out the poison, right?
I second the plantain poultice
A piece of bread smoked in milk.
Baking soda paste!!!!!
Baking soda paste
Mud! Don't laugh it works
Make a paste with warm water and baking soada. Will take out the possion and help with the swelling
I soak skin in vanilla extract (miraculous for insect venom) and then apply a paste of baking powder (not soda).
If it's itching peppermint takes the itch away
Spirit of amonia. Preferably as soon as bitten.
Awww poor baby Try purification essential oil. And colloidal silver gel
Epsom salt soak
Bentonite clay! It draws out toxins and soothes also! Or activated charcoal. Buy on Amazon.
Herbal teas help. Cucumber helps swelling and itch.
Clay, charcoal, mud, wet sand. also poultice or juice from leaves of the weeds plantain, ribwort, burdock most anyone has free and immediate access to clay, mud or sand, as well as those weeds
My mom always used baking soda on stings and bites. Just mix it with water and apply the paste.
Warm water will help to break down the toxins from the ant bite, but that looks like an allergic reaction to the bites
Baking soda make a paste How is your bubba now ?
Good I just bought some baking soda thank u!!
Vinegar will take sting and itch out an neutralize the poison... I use it all the time
Shes good, the oils & colloidal silver helped & I went out & bought baking soda to do the paste w ACV since I already had that on hand. Thanks so much u guys are amazing!
Peppermint oil makes all my bites disappear in 20 mins
Man I have peppermint oil but havent used it w the baby bc i heard it causes respiratory issues
Erica Munoz it can. It slows breathing and even heart rate. In children under 10 and also in elderly it can prove fatal.
She had some diarrhea do u guys think its correlated?
It can be. Frankly for this many bites I wouldn't risk it and give benadryl
Topically apply iodine!
Sounds weird but use Listerine, it was not developed as a mouthwash, but as a general germicide and surgical antiseptic.
Interesting. I guess its the alcohol in it?
It's the main ingredient, but it's also has menthol, thymol, methyl salicylate and eucalyptol.
Heals acne as well
What u just rub on your face?
Yes on a cotton ball
Poor baby... Sending hugs.. Good recommendations here I don't know if this will work for ants- but it always works for mosquito bite itching for us: Apply heat to the area- as much as is almost uncomfortable. For myself I apply the heated back of a spoon on the bite. For my kiddo Iv applied a wash cloth soaked in hot/warm water.. Iv also heated his bitten areas with intermittent heat from the hair dryer. It takes the itching away instantly.
Cool water rag
Were those fire ants? Poor lil gal!
No they were lil black ants
This is how they look today. They dont bother her but all are at a white head even on her other foot. Leave alone or put something else on it?
Fire ants inject acetic acid, the damage is done quickly. Applying a gentle alkaline substance (baking soda, the juice from many plant leaves..) ASAP is the best. It's not really that bad.
They werent even fire ants they were black
Probably similar venom, but less quantity.
Glad to see it's look a little better.
Baking soda or bentonite clay would help
Happy to see it looks better. My 1 year old had 3 mosquito bites and they swelled terribly. I hate when littles get hurt.
Soaking her foot/feet in warm epsom salt will draw out any infection, bring down swelling, stops the itch, heal. Hope she feels better soon!!
So glad it is looking better and localized. Baking soda paste is all I would do for this and only if they are hurting or itching (water/bakingsoda).
bentonite clay + frankincense
