my docotor said my hemoglobin level is low and I'm almost anemic. She suggested I take Flintstone vitamins lol(not gonna do that) so what natural things can I do to get myself normal?
so dumb... İ took spurilina
liver-chicken or veal, you can make patte or fry with onion
That is funny
beef liver capsules
Blackstrap molasses is any amazing source of iron.
Seriously Flinstone vitamins??
yes lol she said twice a day
Shannon Lilly that's really funny... I think I would of laughed.
lol she also said more leafy greens and quinoa in my diet but she really reccomends the Flintstone vitamins twice a day lol
Google a naturopathic doctor in your area, they'll be able to monitor and help you get your levels back.
I don't think I have one close here does insurance cover naturopathic doctors?
Not usually. They told me becaue the government sees them as not being proven and legit studdies. Lol
wowww ugh -.-
I know that's completely wrong isn't it?! Grrrr... I would strategize and go once to gather as much information as possible. Go back when I need my levels tested.
Shannon Lilly mine covered my visits and allergy test but they didn’t cover the supplements I’m taking.
she suggested flintstones because they are gentle... They are geared for children... There isnt anything bad
oh really? I thought they had bad stuff in it
Shannon Lilly they will be full of sugar so there’s that
Cook with a cast iron pan
Yes. To the cast iron and org blackstrap molasses with 20% iron...
I was severely anemic before Juice Plus and I didn't even think it would help but wow amazing
I agree with caitlan!! Juice Plus helps us get healthier from head to toe! It is also great in balancing the immune system!
wtf??!!! Those so called vit pills for kids are BAD NEWS FOR THEM ... NEVER USE ... SEC .... FIRE THAT SAD SO CALLED DR ... ASAP ... İd even Report them to the Board! GO GREENS SISTA ...... VEGGIE POWER .....
Drink plenty of water and get a natural iron supplement.
Good foods with iron.
Mercola also had kids supplements
Reduce your oxidative cell stress with protandim! ... Tumeric, ashwanda, bocapa, milk thistle, green tea
Cast iron skillet and several raw veggies.
Cast iron pans, blackstrap molasses, and floradix (gluten free one)
thank you everyone!!
Flintstone vitamins!!! Wow!
Papaya leaf tea. Look it up.
There is a iron supplement that is made from Whole Foods. It’s a liquid.
Beans red meat spinach
Grape molasses that works. My culture has been foing that forever for low iron levels
As well as black strap
I have always been anemic until I started taking the Plexus XFactor vitamin. It is incredible, plant based and formulated with aloe which makes absorption better than anything on the market. My iron levels and all other levels are now in the normal range after over 20 years of being off. Let me know if you want more info.
I would like more information.
Do flinstones vitamins even have iron in them? I don’t thinks my kids vitamins have it.
Best way to build up the blood is black-strap molasses and beets. Ashwagandha is also good for that and many other things.
I bought some black strap molasses today and beats! I also bought this, do you think it's okay to take all of that daily?
I think take that as recommended & a tabls. Of the black strap
Best iron supplement, works really fast.
I second this type ^ It's about the only good one I know of. Or take spirulina after that
Here is another one, does not cause ANY stomach issues and absorbes really well.
thanks y'all! I'll look into those. I work at whole foods and my friend reccomened this to me
If you eat meat at all, beef liver is the richest source of iron. Nobody eats it anymore.
I would like to eat animal organs. It just grosses me out. I'm only recently eating meat again after being vegetarian for a few years. I'll probably have to eat the capsules
Jeremy Alvarado I understand completely. Liver is odd. I can eat it, but it's not my favorite. I love the balanced minerals it has though.
Liver sounds delicious... With onions
I wish I liked it but haaate it lol. I'm not picky at all, I think liver is the only food I can't stand lol, I gag eating it. I tried to make myself like it. My mom loves it and she cooks it with onions and gravy over rice and it looks and smells amazing but the texture on the inside and weird flavor
Try it raw! It melts in your mouth and has a different taste and texture
Beans and dark greens my levels are always up to par... But yet again, these foods are part of my everyday diet always included
Get a new Dr lol
I just had an iron infusion and feel like a new person.
anemic is a symptom of something else going on in your system... Did you ask the dr about that... And if you are going to take iron supplements please have dr give you a complete iron panel, which includes ferritin and transferritin saturation %... Btw hemoglobin is not iron... İt’s red blood cells....... Iron is an essential element for blood production. About 70 percent of your body's iron is found in the red blood cells of your blood called hemoglobin and in muscle cells called myoglobin. Hemoglobin is essential for transferring oxygen in your blood from the lungs to the tissues.
no I didn't ask because I'm new to learning about all of this. I didn't go to a regular doctor I went to an obgyn to get blood work for my hormones but she tested a bunch of things with it. She said my hemoglobin was 11.4 and that I needed to eat more leafy greens & take the Flintstone vitamins. I probably don't have enough iron in my diet I just started eating a lot healthier since january.
would this be okay to take?
and after supplementing and including more iron in my diet when should I test my iron level again?
Shannon Lilly yes you should know what’s happening with your iron with a iron panel blood work... İf you are living in the USA you can get blood work without a dr... And an iron panel is under 100 $... Let me see if I ca; find that l8nk
