Is Sharia fit for any civilized country to be used as law?

because they believe its the noblest and will reduce crime like rapes and robbery, the whole society of muslims follow sharia law in india for matters withing muslim community and Its Approved by indian constitution as well

It's an outdated inhumane law system. It doesn't respect human rights and gender equity. We are in 2018 and this doesn't corresponds to a civilized way for society.

Sharia law is designed around this very aspect of all human needs in submission to God ALONE. Every one given their due right in every aspect of life. Imagine sitting back in a limousine and telling the driver to take you where ever your hart desire.

The logical conclusion to the evolution of religious history, is a non sectarian, non racial, non- doctrinal universal religion, which islam claims to be. For Islam is just submission to the will of God. This implies.. 1. Faith, 2. Doing right, being an eg of others, to do right, and having the power to see right prevails, eschew wrong, bring an eg to others to eschew wrong, and having the power and might to see injustice and wrong defeated. Islam therefore lives, not for itself but for all mankind.

Morality in Islam

Islamic tradition holds that moral qualities and good actions elevate the status of a man. The Quran and the hadith serve as the primary source of moral and ethical guidance in Islamic theology. Both the Quran and the hadith often speak in emphatic manners to instruct the Muslims to adopt a morally good character. In particular, respecting parents and elders, having love for the younger, greeting people in correct manner, showing kindness to fellow people, caring for the sick, asking permission before entering into others' house, speaking the truth, and avoiding rude and false speech have been emphasized.

The typical Islamic teaching is that imposing a penalty on an offender in proportion to their offense is permissible and just; but forgiving the offender is better. To go one step further by offering a favor to the offender is regarded the highest excellence. Muhammad (peace and blessings upon him) said,
"The best among you are those who have the best manners and character"

To the Muslims, the examples of moral virtues set by Muhammad and his companions serve as guidance both practically and theologically.

Islam and humanity

Islamic teachings on humanity and human welfare have been codified in its central religious book known as the Quran, Islam is what the Quran has instructed to do and how Muhammad (peace be upon him) has put them into practice. Thus, the understanding of any Islamic topic generally rely on these two.

Social welfare in Islam
In Islamic tradition, the idea of social welfare has been presented as one of its principal values, and the practice of social service at its various forms has been instructed and encouraged. A Muslim's religious life remains incomplete if not attended by service to humanity. The following verse of the Quran is often cited to encapsulate the Islamic idea of social welfare

It is not righteousness that ye turn your faces towards East or West; but it is righteousness to believe in Allah and the Last Day, and the Angels, and the Book and the Messengers; to spend of your substance, out of love for Him, for your kin, for orphans, for the needy, for the wayfarer, for those who ask, and for the ransom of slaves; to be steadfast in prayer, and practice regular charity, to fulfill the contracts which we have made; and to be firm and patient, in pain (or suffering) and adversity, and throughout all periods of panic. Such are the people of truth, the God fearing (Quran 2:177 )

Similarly, duties to parents, neighbors, relatives, sick people, the old, and the minority group have been defined in Islam.. It is seen as a reminder of human beings’ obligation to respond to the needs of others. The individual, the family, the state, and the Non-governmental organizations — all are responsible for the performance of social responsibilities, and for the promotion of social welfare. The Quran tells that the believers have been sent for the betterment of mankind, that they will promote what is good, and prevent what is wrong (3:110 ).

However, this is to be carried out in the best possible manner: No individuals honor should be injured, and no harm should arise out of it. In Islamic tradition, the family has a greater role to play in properly educating its members and providing them with moral schooling so as to make them good members of society. The state has the responsibility to preserve the human rights of its citizens while various non-government institutions in a civil society are to carry out public services and charitable works .

the Qur’an says the earth was like a carpet… spread out like a carpet – So does it mean, it was flat? What the person is referring- from the Ayat from the Holy Qur’an, in Surah Nur, Ch. 71,verse no. 19 and 20, which does say… ‘that we have spread out the Earth like a carpet’. But it gives the answer in the next verse, in verse number 20, ‘So that you may walk and travel in the spacious path’. the Geologists, they tell us today, the earth which we live- on the surface is hardly one to 10 miles, and less than 1% of the total radius of the earth which is 3750 miles. The top layer is a solid shell. The deeper layers are hot and fluid, and inhospitable for existence of life. No where does the Qur’an say, that the earth is flat. It gives a similitude that… ‘We have spread out the Earth like a carpet’. People normally have a misconception that… ‘A carpet can only be spread on a flat surface’. It is wrong – A carpet, can also be spread on a spherical surface. For example imagine that there is big model of the earth, the globe, say about 10 feet in radius – Very big – Very well you can spread a carpet around it – It is possible.

But Qur’an is scientifically also speaking, that besides spreading out – today Science tells us that the earth’s crust – because when we layout a carpet, we normally spread out a carpet, on the surface which is not comfortable to walk on – Carpet is normally spread out on a surface which is not comfortable to walk on. So Science today tells us that if the outer crust was not spread out like a carpet around this spherical earth, we would not be able to live – Because the deeper layers are hot and fluid.

So when Qur’an says we have spread out the earth, its referring to the earth’s crust has been spread out like a carpet. And the reason is given… ‘So that you may walk in the spacious path of the Lord’- Qur’an says in other places also that…
‘We have made the Earth, as spacious’. Qur’an says… in Surah Nabah Ch. 78, Verse No. 6, ‘We have made the Earth as an expanse’. It is refer­ring that… ‘The earth, We have made as wide’- You know why?

The answer is given in Surah Ankabut, Ch. 29, Verse, 56 which says… ‘ We have made the Earth as a wide expanse for you so that you will worship Me and Me alone’. So tomorrow you cannot say that, the situation where I lived in, may be Bombay, it was difficult circumstances, therefore I was prevented to do good deeds – So I did evil deeds. Allah says… ‘The earth is a wide expanse for you – it is spacious’.

You cannot give the excuse for doing evil deeds, because of your circumstances. Therefore worship Allah, and Allah alone. There is no place in the Holy Qur’an which says…‘The world is flat’. In fact, I told you in my speech the Qur’an says in Surah Luqman, Ch. 31, Verse 29, and Surah Al-Zumoor, Ch. 39, Verse No. 5, that… ‘The world is spherical’ and specifically in Surah Naziyath, Ch. 79, Verse No. 30…(Arabic…) ‘We have made the Earth thereafter Egg shape…like an Ostrich Egg, which is exactly Geo spherical.

Islam gave the foundation btw to modern science. That why Europe flourished in the science and arts.
