Is this normal RA? Anytime I use a body part it flairs up. If I paint my wrist hurts. If I walk my knees and feet hurt. If I drive my shoulders and elbows hurt. If I vacuum my back hurts. I just got diagnosed this winter and this seems crazy. No matter what I do that body part will hurt.

Me!!! I thought I was crazy!
Worst pain for me is when I am sleeping
True
Yes night and morning are when I feel it. Like I painted and didn’t feel it until the next morning my wrist felt broken.
Gota be something to make this pain go away!
We are supposed to use in moderation. Not walk too far, not drive to much.... For me is not sleep on my right side, don’t write it type too long. Yep.... İt makes me mad too.
This is what I tried to explain to the rheumatologist yesterday that yes my hands hurt if I’m using them or my arms feet etc. Uhhh I’m not happy with my doctor visit. It’s like bc my knuckles are inflamed and in pain every day I must not have RA
It seems to me my RA doc wants to give me stuff that makes me sick
Yes that’s this damned invisible disease.
Yes worse for me is sitting
I know. Everyone talks about morning stiffness. I’m much worse after I get moving. It’s exhausting. All I do is sleep these days.
Yes I better in the morning
I have the same problem. Now I have to think twice before doing anything. Didn't buy a big watermelon today afraid if I pick it up my wrists might starting hurting the next morning.
Now we need to get someone to help carry these things.
sylvia I live alone and my family is in India. I got diagnosed last week. It's been difficult emotionally and physically. Can't complete my chores over the weekend ... Takes me twice as long and bad nights...
I know try to lift wth my hands side ways.
You notice when you lay down your sore spots throb?? Or is that just me?
When I lay flat on my back in my bed I have pain the next morning in upper back.... So weird
Yes painted living room last week and hands killed for three days....
Do you use biofreeze?
Daisy Goldsmith I have never heard of it- do tell
Kimberly Sinclair oh it's the best for painful wrist hands. You can buy it at Walgreens. Lots of stores have it
Actually I should put some on before I sleep.
You’re awesome thank you
Yes, I have that problem too. I figured it was because I was so out of shape from trying to stay out of pain
Yes
You will be amazed at how much easy stretching yoga helps. Within about 3 weeks of everyday 1/2 hour
I felt 35 again. I did for about 6 weeks n stopped. Life just got n way, daughters wedding, remodeling son's house and work now I feel about 70. I am almost 57. I am going back to doing this for me everyday because in the long run I will be much more productive. But yes what you said was awful. I quit doing regular house work it would kill my hands.
I hope to take up yoga very soon.
Yes.... That's RA
As much pain we can be, dont ever stop moving. I have been in that place were I couldnt shower, change myself, or do anything on my own without assistance. I was diagnosed at 27 years old. At age of 31 years old, I have worked so hard to be were I am. I build houses now. I always pushed myself, cryed so many tears to be independent again. Dont ever give up on yourselves and wear your emotions on your sleeve, keep pushing foward
Normal
Exactly me
Yes that’s normal for me too
When I'm asked by a medical professional, Can you cut your own foodNo... That's what I notice the most, only eat what I can cut
Yes. I have been at this a long time and my doctors totally agree that some activities causes RD inflammation and flares, depending on levels of exertion. That's one reason it is so tricky to try to keep moving and excerise with RD. The only way I can do anything is to spread out activity and rest. After each activity I have to rest to allow the inflammation to subside. Sometimes I use ice and or heat. The worst thing is working when I can't stop and rest.
Yes for 5 years!
Yes
Yep... Pretty much. You just learn your limits.
Everything in moderation. Painting kills my wrists the next day.
Walking too much ankles hurt that evening. I have had to learn moderation.
