Elevate, rest, ice and/or heat. That was one of my first places I inflamed. You can also do some resistant band exercises so the foot doesn’t stiffen up.
Epsom salt bath might help for some relief too. Not hot though. Ice packs on it also. Ouch, sorry you are dealing with this!
I used to wrap my joints if that happened. For me it was from weak cartilage which would spring leaks so the synovial fluid leaked out. It usually itched inside the joint and surrounding tissue too. I'd soak it in really hot water and move the joint around before I wrapped it. It stopped when I strengthened my cartilage with supplements. I had really low vitamin D levels then too.
any other supplements?
I use bamboo based silica for joints and bones and vitamin K2 because it keeps calcium in balance so it doesn't deposit in joints or anywhere else it shouldn't be. Magnesium aids absorption of vitamin D and boron is also a co-factor for absorption and keeps bones and joints strong. K2 and boron both reduce anti-CCP and CRP too and boron kills any fungal infections like candida which can affect disease activity.
Melanie Dickey I private messaged you.
How much boron do you take? I tried it but found it seemed to increase estrogen.
It balances hormones. If they're low it will raise them or high it will lower them. It usually balances estradiol and progesterone and raises testosterone. My pain levels stay low even before my cycle when I take it regularly.
Heat always comforts my joints, but ice brings down the swelling.
Prednisone, I had same issue last week..
I’m on a prednisone 10 mg now for a week
All great advice above. I know prednisones sounds scary. I’m very reluctant to try it but I’ve seen amazing results from it. Although it’s not a natural remedy it may just be one of those necessary evils. I hope you feel better soon
I'm with u .... Feel like today ...
Ouch!!!!!
Contact your Dr also
ICE!!!!
TAKE IT FROM A MAN WHO JUST LOST HIS LEG THOUGHT I HAD R A OR GOUT BUT WAS CHARCOT NEVER HEARD OF IT BETTER CHECK ON IT

My Dr. Just emailed me back
My Dr said
The ankle is quite locally swollen.
Do you want to try a slightly higher dose of the prednisone like 12.5 mg or 15?
Otherwise you can also try either tylenol 650 two to three times daily or even ibuprofen 600 mg twice a day.
Please keep me updated.

What would you guys do? I’m already on 10 mg of prednisone and taking 1000 mg a day of Tylenol. I stopped taking Motrin when I started the prednisone a week ago.
Thats looks painful, I would increase prednisone. Hope you feel better.
My daughter had steroids injected and that worked on one foot but not the other.
Change diet, lower salt intake. Ice it, and elevate
Tendonitis, I'm in a walking boot right now. Nothing I did helped. This actually is working. Good luck.
Rest. It will leave.
My left one stays swollen and my ankle has a knot too
A rheumatologist or orthopedic surgeon would usually drain it then give you a local cortisone injection...
That's kinda of scary
Same with me, but the pain is tolerable maybe 20%.. I stop taking prednisone for 8 months.. I took collagen.
ICE, i have to ice my foot at night, after working all day, and right now i take motren .
That has to hurt. Of course be worried. The inflammation called RA is very damaging. Find natural ways to eliminate the inflammation in addition to any prescription medication. The prescription medication has serious side effects and you don't want to be on it any longer than you must.
Here are the 4 causes of inflammation in our body. Bugs (infections), Drugs (prescription), Bad Diet, Stress.
Changing your diet, and even intermittent fasting, all help to reduce inflammation and to heal the body. Medications can give quick relief which is good, but longterm, the medications begin to cause even worse trouble in the body so don't count on medicine alone.
Diet is the easiest and cheapest method of healing. You may not find it easy at first as you have to learn how to eat healthy and how to cook healthy, but the reward will be lifelong good health and a very good chance of full remission.
Eliminate stress where you can and learn to cope better with the stress you can't eliminate. Forgive everyone everyday. Anger is a health destroyer.
Blood flow problem. Clots?
Try ice and elevate and stay off of if you can.
Go to the Emergency Room, it could a blood clot!!!
After taking Motrin, elevating and icing it seems to be better!
