Matthew 16:23 Jesus turned and said to Peter, "Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns."

Obviously Peter was not Satan.

it is mentioned in the Quran, that satan was originally an angel, he was created by god in the first place, it is said that he was the most intelligent of all the angels, and the bravest one, once god created adam, god told all the angels to prostrate for adam, so satan denied what god ordered him to do, and from this moment he has been cursed till this day on

yes thats the story where Adam and Eve were kicked out of heaven because of satan, in that time satan was actually cursed, so he wanted to make sure that the creatures god created, suppose to follow satan, to perish in hell

Purpose of Creation of Humans
God created Man along with Satan for his holy purpose (67:2).
And the Purpose of human creation is just thankfulness (7:17).
And the purpose of human creation was kindness, to be social among humans (96:2 / 10:14)
And the Purpose of human creation was to design civilized and mannered behaving creation with intelligence (3:95 / 18:7)
And the purpose of human creation was to design an obedient creation with reasoning “freedom of choice” in absence of God (26:3 /51:56)

How man can be thankful Social Civilized and intelligent, it is by Education.
God designed education system by listening and reading (2:31 / 96:1)
Thankfulness comes to one’s mind if and only he is Civilized Educated and Scientific (2:32).
Thankfulness comes to minds who analyzing God Creations, Wonders and Perfectness (3:190).
Thankfulness comes to one’s mind if he knows Gods mercies, kindness and love to support his existence designing and Protection of his body against internal and external factors (1:2)
The first Program After creation of humans was to design his education system (2:32 / 96:1)
And Education raised the humans and made him different and meaningful for the purpose of God.
When Gods plan was invisibility, then how should He communicate with His creation to show them the Purpose ?

His Communication system Was Messengers and or Prophets.
And His Communication system, in absence of his Messengers was His Book, with specialty in language and style that is different from human books, scientific, powerful and convincing enough to wins His creation for his purpose.
So to acknowledge His creation His purpose, He should produce means and ways (guidance) with communication system which declare his purpose.
And this is all Quran is about, his plans and purposes.
What if His designed education system and freedom of choice made humans disobedient than obedient ?

1-1 A History Of The Devil And Satan In Old Testament Times
To begin at the beginning. The words Satan, Devil, demon, Lucifer, fallen angel etc. Simply don't occur in the whole of the book of Genesis. Throughout the Old Testament, the one and only God is presented as all powerful, without equal and in no competition with any other cosmic force. The Old Testament makes it clear that any 'adversary' to God's people was ultimately under the control of God Himself. All Angels are spoken of as being righteous and the servants of God, even "Angels of evil / disaster", who may bring destruction upon sinners, are still God's Angels carrying out His will and judgments. God's people Israel initially held this view; but as has so often happened to God's people, they mixed their true beliefs with those of the world around them. Earlier Judaism spoke of the human tendency to evil [yetser ha-ra] and the tendency to good [yetser ha-tob]. This tendency to evil they understood as being at times personified or symbolized by "the devil": "Satan and the yetser ha-ra are one" (1). But earlier Judaism rejected the idea that angels had rebelled, and they specifically rejected the idea that the serpent in Genesis was satan. At that time, "the Jewish devil was little more than an allegory of the evil inclination among humans" (2). It is noted by the editor of Dent's edition of the Talmud that neither the Talmud nor the Midrash (the Jewish interpretations of the Law of Moses) even mention Satan as being a fallen angel (3). Even in the Zohar- a second century AD Jewish book that became the basis of the Kabbalah- the sitra ahra, the "dark side" is presented as an aspect of God, not independent of Him, which operates on earth as a result of human sin. The Zohar uses the ideas of the Shekhinta b'galuta [God's glory in exile] and sitra ahra in order to speak of God's struggle with evil and to explain its very existence. The Zohar doesn't teach dualism, a universe split between God and Satan, but rather teaches that the struggle between good and evil occurs within God's own self.

Metaphorically of course in the evolution of consciousness which is idealised in the word of God. Which is why religion is owning morality rights. Tree of life of the knowledge of good and evil where the first fall began with Adam and Eve. Not really first man.
