I have strawberry smoothie in the morning before I go to work at 7am and then I don't eat until about five.
That's not good at all. Your metabolism is slow because you go almost 12 hours with no food. You need to eat something at least every 4 to 5 hours. Plus, a strawberry smoothie is all sugar.... You should at least have a full meal instead of just a smoothie esp if you aren't eating until dinner.
Not true, by my experiences. The sugars in strawberries spike your glucose levels, and rely on that for your intake. To maximize efficiency, you must intermittent fast, and only eat during a span of 7 hours, or to maximize, as I do, eat only during a span of three hours. You will notice your bowel movements will become regulated, and your body will begin to produce growth hormones, which help prevent aging. Look up ketosis.

I find a whole food diet to be very satistying on a cellular level and esp, good healthy fats/proteins can help that... Also, VitC, D, B12 and magnesium... Walking, sunshine, earthing... And taking time to relax.. And get good sleep... Avoid EMF's...

Bless your heart. If you're not changing your diet, exercise routine, you may have a thyroid issue. Wouldn't be a bad idea to check that out with your doctor. If that's confirmed, I'd try Global Healing thyroid kit or at portion of it. Check reviews and see if someone else was helped with same symptoms. Otherwise, it's the good old fashion change the way ya eat and up the exercise. Best wishes!!
My problem is dairy. I can't eat it or I'm fat. I love it but I just cannot process it. Off of dairy I'm a healthy comfortable weight without even trying. Maybe that info is of use to you?
Dairy is a hard one to give up initially but once you do it isn't hard to stay off. I do snitch from time to time but don't cook or bake with it anymore. You CAN do this!

I have seen great results, but it seems so extreme! I would love to know how you do it
I've done 48 & 24s so far but I'm working up to longer ones. I feel good. I used to fast regularly and I felt amazing. The last 3 years I've been pregnant, breastfeeding, depressed and have gained a ton of weight. I feel clearer mind and on the way to my better self. I think it seems so extreme because we've always been told 3 square meals a day... But really we live in a country driven my consumerism... Fasting works well for me. And I'm also still breastfeeding a toddler without any issues.

This is what I've done so far... 48, 24, 24, 48, 24, now pushing for a 72. I've kept my refeeds small, I'm still drinking a cup of coffee a day (my addiction is severe, cold turkey is not an option, & 1 cup is a drastic decrease). First you need to eat more... Since your eating 2 times a day, what’s your dinner like???... Maybe your overeating at night. Don’t be afraid to have your dinner for lunch or even for breakfast you’ll burn all those calories through the day and just a salad or veggies at night or if you get too hungry 1/2 sandwich till your mind gets used to it. Also check your hormones poor eating habits will mess with your hormones.
