It can attack EVERYTHING. We are much more likely to have heart attacks and strokes and the hearts framework is connective tissue and it could deposit "stones" in the heart.( that's not counting if you're using any of the drugs.)
Among the serious complications people with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) experience, cardiovascular disease heads the list. Having RA doubles the risk of most heart problems, including heart attack, stroke and atherosclerosis — the buildup of fat, cholesterol and cellular debris (plaque) on blood vessel walls. The inflammatory processes in RA and heart disease are very similar. In RA, inflammation attacks the synovium — the thin layer of tissue that lines your joints — but it can move to other organs, including the heart. People with RA are more likely to have atherosclerosis than the general population and that they develop it at a faster rate.
My cholesterol, which has always been somewhat high, went from 240 to 333 in a year. I found out because I was dizzy 24/7 for 3 months, and after 2 months I went to my PCP and je said we needed to check my cholesterol. I can't take statins. So I am on an extremely lo fat diet, no butter, or dairy, other than occ parm cheese, which is lower in fat, no oils other than a spritz when needed for cooking, no red meat, and sadly no coconut milk, curries are my favorite food and many use coconut milk. The good news is I brought my cholesterol down to 218 in 2 months with diet alone, something many doctors say is impossible.
Thanks you for the info, i didn't know high cholesterol could cause dizziness. My cholesterol is always high also. My friend swears on chia seeds to reduce her cholesterol. Need to add them to my foods regimen
Yes, search oxidative stress with RA & with heart. Then search with NRF2 and RA & with heart. Activating your NRF2 pathways is crucial re health maintenance & disease prevention. American heart association has some studies in their journal with a natural NRF2 activator. Not many if any other herb formulas have this kind of science n studies behind them. It's all about activating & normalizing your gene expression
My uncle just died of congestive heart failure. He had RA. Had a heart attack a couple of months ago and then died in his sleep from congestive heart failure. He was around 76 years old.
RA affects all connective tissue. Blood is considered a connective tissue. Exercise, eat right, rest if and when you can, and you'll be fine. Worrying can't help.
Yes it is a auto immunize disease so it can attack the heart and lungs that is why it's important to keep regular appointments with the doctors
Eyes kidney liver

Yep
It's all to do with uncontrollable inflammation
