Yes and was hospitalized for it before my diagnosis. They gave me nitroglycerin and took me in via ambulance. Such a scary experience... Are you okay??
Wishing you the best of luck! I tend to take matters of the heart/chest seriously. You just never know. Sending you positive vibes as you seek out answers!
Ya.. It can cause inflammation in your sternum Try sleeping hugging a pillow. Not trying to say its not heart related.. Just been to the er too many times for the same thing. Sleep with the pillow for about a week or until pain goes away.
Thank you:) I will. I read it could be inflammation of the sternum possibly. Kept thinking I pulled something but it is not something I really could have pulled. Just aches with a mix of stabbing pains... Fun times
I get it a bit just where my bra is under my boobs. Think it could be sternum. Never really linked it to RA. It’s not like a heart or lung pain but a pain or ache.
Yes, this has happened to me. So scary! I'm in a flare now, but my chest pain is gone. It's almost like a sign the flare is coming. I hate the unpredictability of this disease.
Ugh me too. I am on 20 mg of methotrexate which helps a lot but I can still tell something is up with my energy levels. But this new issue is not fun:/
This is going to sound crazy.. But I've been to emerg so many times with chest pain and so many wrong diagnosis... Anyways Iong story short.. I read about a girl with similar problem and she was pushing her pain to its limit and in a last effort thought ill drink as much water till I puke to somehow relieve some pain... But she realized after 4 big cups of water the pain started to go away.. It doesnt always stay away but if it's reallly bad I drink 4-5 large glasses of water and right away I feel a little better
Yes, Really bad at times. I figured it is my connective tissue between my ribs. Feels like Pleurisy at times. Sometimes my breast bone gets so sore i can't even turn around in bed without crying out.
Yes I have, but if the pain is really intense you must go and get it checked out. I have been hospitalized for inflammation around the heart. Much more instense than usual, work called an ambulance. So I told my primary at least I now know what it is, he told me when it becomes severe like it was i must go to the hospital, even though that time it was due to the RA the next time it may not be. He told me I have to rule out that it is not a heart attack.
Yes, like right now. For me it hurts most right at the end of a deep breath. Feels like a lung issue or heart but it's in fact ribs. Saw a dr. For it Oct. 29; they ran an ekg to rule out heart problems. Good times
That's howI was diagnosed... İ went to ER multiple times and now understand/ recognise the pain. I can barely move at night simetimes and deep breathes affect it too. Hugging a pillow definitely helps.
Ive always had chest pain during a flare it scares the heck out of me!!! I used to go in the ER a lot only to be sent home and said it was anxiety

A flare can affect your blood flow
Once I was diagnosed, my Doctor was able to link the chest pains to my autoimmune disease. Have you been seen for the pain? Please do not hesitate.
I have an appt tomorrow. It's been intermittent pains. Almost like gas pains when breathing but up much higher. Been happening since last week.

I'm sorry.. The pillow will help if you sleep on your side. And no heavy lifting!! Good luck.

Those meds have very serious side effects. Not fair for us
Yes!
I don't have chest pains that feel like a heart problem, but my ribs get VERY painful and tender.
Most of you sound like you probably have costochondritis. It's quite common and horrifically painful.
Yep... Me
