Hi there. My 14 year old daughter has eczema in her face, mostly on eyelids and around. Sometimes it spreads to her cheeks. I've tried a number of creams/ointments ect, but some of the stuff burns her skin or only works for a while. And so expensive too. Does anyone know what I can use that won't cost a lot of money and isn't bad for the skin. Thanks in advance.
boil rooibos leavea. Leave to steep. Add to aqueous cream. Perhaps u should take her to a homeopath.... Eczema is an external sign that there is an internal imbalance/problem. Homeopathy helped my son's eczema
slm, Firsly id like to if your daugther suffers from Ashma. A doctor at Red cross told me when my daugther was small he just look at her then and told me she has ashma, but she out grew it .
SLM zainab. My daughter had excema from young age. Tried EVERYthing!! It all helps a bit but escalates the problem later. The BEST thing I ever done is to take her to dermatologist. In pinelands or the chambers opp city park Hosp. They analized her skin and gave her a repeat script which she been using ever since. She turned out the Most Beautiful girl you can imagine. Save a few rands and invest in her. Its her face. You won't be sorry. Persivate ointment is a good solution for quick fix in other areas but don't use it or just anything on her face.! Get rid of cats. Wear cotton clothing and don't bath with soap. Rather use epizone A cream as replacement. Phew... Mouthfull but Good luck!
Wslm feroza . She had ashma when she was younger, but also out grew it. The eczema started a few years ago.
slm zainab.. I hav aczema on my fingers. And atended groote schuur Hospt. Mine is called Pompholyx is a type of eczema where there are itchy blisters on the hands and feet, followed by inflamed and dry skin. It can be a temporary condition, or in some cases, is more persistent. There are various treatments that can help. Bt the prescribed for me an ointment called Lenovate and it helps. 2 months ago I bought a tube at a chemist and payd R25. u can try it out and see the outcime
thanks for the info start by watching what she eats especially chips as it contains a lots of dyes etc rather let she just eat Lays, if you go to chemist take her with show the phamisist the problem areas let they rather recommed something. İf she washes her face use afew drops of olive oil in lukewarm water. İ have a book with a_z natural remedies il hav a look tonight & msge if i see something mwah

I get it on my hands at the beginning of summer and its only been since I have been in CT .... I find with any creams it makes it more itchy the Doctor prescribed cortisone ointment which is the only thing that helps me... Lenovate doesn't help at all.... I put Calamile lotion onto stop the scratching.
epazone-e works for my sister. Wash her face with the cream 3times a day and then apply it on her face after the wash. İt works!
my child also have bad eczema all over his boddy u have to treet it till it goes away. Lenovate and acuas cream it helps but u must carry on using it.
Go to Dischem Pharmacy and ask the pharmacisty to give you the following products because i use it for my daughters eczema amd its underc ontrol the product name is Epizone E the cream to wash with, the cream for afterwards and the creamm to bath in, its a white tub with black lid
AloeVera plant, rub on the effected area the inside slimy part of the aloe vera .
some people have been using essential oils for natural remedies lately
Boabab oil. Each nite. Avoid if possible also allergens. I would suggest you have a RAST test and a regular skin prick allergy test. The sooner its nipped at an earlier age the better. You do not need moroccan oil ( argon ) or the like its too warm for the skin. The question concerning milk dairy.... İt really should be kept at minimum. That goes for nuts peanuts an shell fish. When using boabab i always tell patients use at night thats when our skin grows etc. Its available at wellness shoppe cavendish. Take care.
Ya epizone is ok. No harm in trying.
slm checked in book says to elimanate foods that may cause an allergic reation which may include milk, eggs, shellfish, wheat, chocolat, nuts &strawberries. Recommend flaxseed oil 1tbsp a day/evening primrose oil/vit A&vit E i personally feel you must rather get medical advise from dr or chemist because its in ur daughthersface wslm
Go to Braude's pharmacy in Athlone, they have their own mix. It worked for all my kids. All the best to you and your daughter InshaAllah
My mom used wild dagga

The best is take he reguarly 2 the beach
Have you tried cutting out all dairy produce? Also colours flavours preservatives. I am am allergist and know that there is a definite correlation between dairy intake and eczema. Also avoid commercial clothes powders that have enzymes. Use green clothes washing liquid. The enzymes digest proteins, which mean to the makers poo, pee blood and sweat: Your skin is also a protein.
Witch Hzel works for our friends son.
If your gut is not clean it will show on your skin. So my dear sister go to the root of the problem. Ointments will only soothen the skin but it wil not cure the problem.
Aslm. So sad man, but use rooibos tea soap & cream. There'epizone E also. Go 2 disce
Go 2 discem, they will help. Evryting of the best Ia.
Aquascream is the best
Mix aquascream nd emulsifying oinment
My daughter has it also but nt so worst anymore wash face with Aque cream twice a day and apply Mylocort twice a day or lenovate ointment
Were do u stay
Hi u no vye rank just cut it open and apply it does wonders
Thro rooibos teabags in her bath wash always,,,rub aquashcream i cnt remba da name ask by clicks nt da normal plain aquash,,,dey will tell u,,,,it wrked 4 my grankids
have u tried Milocored and Lenovate ointment. It helps for my daugther. Also wash her cloths seperate from yours. Bath her with pure Sunlight soap only and keep her away from food that will give her Acid
Gentle reminder: This is a NATURAL REMEDY PAGE!! Mylocort and lenovate are chemicals and the reason I am no longer an Orthodox physician. They will stop the symptoms, and if used occasionally will not harm, but long term use will not only thin this child's skin, but also her bones and weaken her immune system and not get to the root cause of why she has eczema.
Hey thr my son has eczema too bt his under a doc which gvs him aqous cream to wash with n emulsifying ointment to use as his moisturiser... He gts half a tablet each nyt fr 5months n also gt an ointment called vari-betamethasone only used on effected areas... His 2yrs old n if u look at his skin its evn mor moist den mine lol bt avoid using thngs n gt ha under a hosp cz u mkn it worst by trying diff thngs... Thyl gv u sumthng stronger if c needs it bt also jst fr a while cz u cnt use thngs freva
Oh n milocort, lenovate, repivate n viocort is all very harsh n sumhw affect da way thy act...
According to the World Health Organisation the darker a person's skin, the more intolerant of dairy produce they are. So many kids improve on a dairy and colour free diet and it is cheaper and healthier than shoving chemicals and other rubbish into their body
True mervyn lol agree onda dairy thng so its beta gtn ur dawter under a doc theyl put ha ona treatment lyk my son is nw on a 5month treatment den theyl look into it agn to c if it improved or wteva to find out if they need to increase the medication or decrease
Did you get the boabab?
eczame is something u can just treat it, use home remedies, my daughter were under RX hospital for many years, I decide to treat her skin myself, u get the same ointment over nd over. Like coconut oil is just us good.
My grandson has severe ezcema, he is under Rx hospital for treatment. Children's skin at that age is very delicate and we have found that washing him with aquascream or liquid paraffin helps. Gently pat the skin dry, then you make a mixture of Dovate mixed with emulsifying ointment or Lenovate with emulsifying ointment. That treatment us very good for when the excema is at its worst, yiu will see the skin clears up imediately. Alternatively use a mixture of raw virgin coconut oil with two drops of tea tree oil. Be very carefull with the latter mixture and do a small patch of skin to see if there is no allergic reaction. Mylocort and Epizone E is a bit harsh, ive found and burns the skin...... Hope this helps, try to avoid soaps and creams with perfumes and chemicals.
Thank you, shukran to each and everyone of you for your concern and your advice. I really appreciate it. I hope I will also be able to give you good or useful advice in the future. You all amazing people. Keep well and take care.
