Science and spirituality will one day, but not religion because it's man made violence with to many superstitions to be taken seriously. Religion is corrupt spirituality.

Claps* Well said

Samuel Cordova 3 years

Thousands of years various belief systems holding together until its corrupted. Not too long ago science came up with a "theory" of evolution and all the faith don't agree with it. Beliefs are more powerful than ever changing facts I guess. Funny part is most of inventions and discoveries done by people with faith.

Shahid Stinson

Why not? I think they already coexist. Lots of scientists are christians, budhista, muslims... We don't know exactly what happened in time of profets or Christ as no TV or newspapers in that times... But we can believe or not - tht's an option...

Sergei Dowdy

Science is a belief, same as all religions... The only difference is, it's ever changing

Muhammad Kramer

Science is great. No doubts! And ancient Greek philosophers and scientists made a big progress in human history, establishing an independent thinking. But does science untill now answer the question about existence of God? Still not !!!

Sergei Dowdy
S

There is plenty of things science couldn't answer yet, because theology is not a science.

Shahid Stinson 3 years

A good statement - the theology is not a science - i almost agree -

Sergei Dowdy 3 years

It's not science that claim a God or Gods. It's way is demonstration of how the universe works. The notion of a God or gods has been debunked by science without even trying. A God or Gods is only a human mind notion from lack of proper scientific knowledge.

Soi Norris 3 years

Soi Norris I know science dont claim that god exist but human mind does. So what we know, whats burried in side human mind? What kind of ancient knowledges, observations and facts, Less then 12% scientifically. This what science tells us we dont use our brain at its full capacity.

Shahid Stinson 3 years

Already does.

Mike Gould

Science doesn't work with superstitions.

Soi Norris
S

well we already do, you dont see atheists and christians fighting on the battlefield do you?

Dan Leach

most religions are content in just making evidenceless hypotheses, as these tools for their more ‘material’ goals, they see science as a ‘threat’ to its comfort/survival… and that’s where the conflict begins, and it’s most always the one to start it. So, in a nutshell, if a religion would give up its material goals, it could coexist perfectly with science, but until it does, it will always see science (or any form of inquiry) as a threat.

Rishi Fitzgerald

Faith is not older than science? I think religion can coexist with science but science can't.

Shahid Stinson 3 years

faith is probably not older than science. Because when humans created tools then it came to their mind that everything must have creators. The idea of creator can not come before humans expressed creativity.

Laramie Meyer 3 years

Aditya Bertram its quite possible the case. But what about source of knowledge of making tools and its needs?

Shahid Stinson 3 years

the source of knowledge of making tools is human brain. İf you believe in god that is different story but it is illogical to believe according to science. We have seen ants building bridges and bees making their own home. İt is perfectly possible that DNA RNA made things happen. Viruses have different structures and have their own way of working. But the evidence of god? There is no evidence, it is faith and it only exists in books. İn real life god doesn't talk to you.

Laramie Meyer 3 years

The first notion of a God or Gods came from lack of proper scientific knowledge.

Yes they came from the same cut of cloth

no science doesn't believe in mumbo jumbo fairy tale. Science works.

Then, Philosophy - is it a science or not? If yes, why religion could not be a kind of philosophy - if we believe in freedom of thoughts???

Sergei Dowdy

religion based on stories is bullshit. How does it help if u know that some idiot god asked a guy to sacrifice his son ?? is it the godly knowledge ?? is it philosophy ?? nah it's bullshit which can make u go awol

Irony, very hypocritical one.

Religion should die.

Samuel Cordova

However spirituality and science do co exist and dont need anyones approval

Samuel Cordova

Nor does any one need to suck religious institutions balls to worship god

Samuel Cordova

one explain another... Like the two sides of your brain...

Stefan Marino

sure like science and games coexist.

Erik Cummings

Yes. They can exist together in the same way that astronomy and astrology exist together - And, in the same way that chemistry and alchemy exist together.

Mike Floyd

Astrology and alchemy are not with science, science outdated them.

human s need credible hope and solace and purpose meaning. And brain are assocition machines. That is enoug reason to give ti room. İt cannot cut rights and hide crimes but otherwise live and let live let all believe and if htey can supply c r e d i b l y hope solace purposemeaning why not. İts legit in society then

Christian Kaplan

of course yes: Religion is about what people saw and heard, science is about experimentation, hypothesis and sometimes proofs

Yeah!
May be.

Bag Bates

Science did show how irrelevant a God or Gods is.

Soi Norris

science is nothing, if your science is so perfect and can explain everything,.....you took more than 4000 years to explain the simple building of the pyramids

Smoka Easley
S

who is more accurate the person who tell you"i saw this and that or the person who took 4000 years to explain the building of pyramids

Smoka Easley

no one here did speak about christ, God and science

Smoka Easley
S

ok think about it I am not here to convince anybody about God, I have no religion, I belive in God for many reasons, in one of my language his name is "Nzambe"

Smoka Easley

Science is an evolutive process

Soi Norris

With thought and purpose surly evident in the application and study of science and your ability to find similarities with evolution, man you are making process

Religion is ideology.
Science is methodology.

Your question is queer

Queer: Mean what?

Endy Penn 3 years

Obnoxious

Jun Vaughn 3 years

What makes you think so?

Endy Penn 3 years

I'm afraid your conflating

Jun Vaughn 3 years

Conflate: "to combine two or more separate things, especially pieces of text, to form a whole." Do you find that disturbing in context with my post?

Religious Isaac Newton loves science

Science doesn't need religion, it's outdated and scientifically debunked.
