If their religion states that the other religions are inferior, difficult... Abrahamic religions are quite elitist in that sense... That includes Judaism, Christianity and Islam
Unless clear reforms are made in these primitive instincts for dominate peace can't be brought upon us.... I think developing a kids reasoning and critical thinking from a young age may help, also travelling to get to know different cultures may help too...
People can co-exist in spite of their religion, not due to it. For example if you take take the Abrahamic religions too seriously, polytheism is the biggest sin you can ever do. The books even demonize them. That will plant hatred in your mind.
That's what I was thinking. The division only seems to be getting wider, you've got America with a war on "terror" which is basically a war on radical Islam. You can't bomb an ideal. Atheist's are getting pissed off with both of em. Plus the sectarian violence in between. Can you see a massive war between believers of different faiths against each other and atheism fighting all of them in the distant future say a hundred or so years?.. Humour me man. I know the thought is a bit out there but if the way most people on here talk to each other it's not out of the realms of possibility.
something i read - "A UNIVERSAL CREED: May we be a people who could be more loving, respectful, understanding, caring, concerned, compassionate, considerate, courteous, sacrificing, kind, benevolent, meek, gentle, friendly, joyful, peaceful, humble, generous, grateful, forbearing, have deliverance, courageous, brave, have inner strength, unifying, just, forgiving, wise, truthful, knowledgeable, appreciative, faithful, devoted, affectionate, charitable, chaste, have integrity, able to counsel, encouraging, pious, honest, diligent, sincere, trusting, good, righteous, freedom, with liberty, of good judgment, discerning, hopeful, with empathy, with healing, with morality, ethical, content, resourceful, creative, innovative, simple, responsible, accepting, with foresight, anticipating, with fortitude, tolerant, improving, disciplined, decisive, efficient, proficient, zealous, enthusiastic, cheerful, with fervor, tactful, with healthiness, principled, virtuous, with readiness, alert, attentive, thoughtful, readily available, confident, optimistic, with reverence, obedient, dependable, reliable, determined, discrete, persevering, enduring, flexible, resilient, gentle, meek, modest, dignifying, honorable, cooperative, hospitable, friendly, sociable, with initiative, loyal, orderly, neat, patient, persuasive, prompt, punctual, secure, thorough, prosperous, frugal, conscientious, with moderation, with temperance, practicing abstinence, excellent, and thankful, etc. For one another - all belonging to one family as humanity. Of course we can. If we can think it, we can. Not unless.. We should start a new cult, global style. Global Brotherhood. Show the world that Faith is not a competition.
Potatos / potahtos. I recognise the Living God as supreme, you recognise the face in your shaving mirror as effectively the same. We each have a, "measure of all things," but in your world his name is Soi.
If each religion is taught to accept others for what they are! And the followers capable of knowing what's right and what's wrong and what can harm each other... I think they can coexist.
There is only one brother hood and that is Islamic brotherhood aka muslim ummah regardless countries boundaries. Rest are all kafirs and we will fight until every one become muslim. We want Islamic caliphate, sharia Law in whatever country we live in. Please, give us special sharia law over your county's law. Thanks.
mohd doesn't matter wt i'm. Talk on topic. It's a fact. Go to whateva country, deep down everyone even moderate ones wants Islamic law. And, One can't leave this cancer in Islamic countries or get ready to die.
I hope everybody can see that this Muhammad Stallings is a Non Muslim trying hard to make people hate Islam more and more... It's been this way for more than a thousand years.
So we live in the same world no matter what. To me choosing tolerance is choosing happiness. I am not going to get pissed the world does not agree with me, its stupid and narcissistic.
mohd, is it a matter of hating Islam or loving God? There is no way to love a god who doesn't know love. One may as well offer cabbages to a wolf. The most one can hope for is to escape with his life - by getting away from the wolf!
Brother, that is why when you meet a kind and loving man, so happens to be a Muslim, you shun away thinking you've been tricked,... Even when you accept him as an exception among the many, he'll always be weird to you, to be so kind and loving, and still Muslim..
If their religion states that the other religions are inferior, difficult... Abrahamic religions are quite elitist in that sense... That includes Judaism, Christianity and Islam
Only if they respect other religions too which I hardly see happening around.
People are in rat race to prove their RELIGION is the best as if they will go to Heaven for proving this!
Unless clear reforms are made in these primitive instincts for dominate peace can't be brought upon us.... I think developing a kids reasoning and critical thinking from a young age may help, also travelling to get to know different cultures may help too...
If they develop kids with Reasoning and critical thinking chances are higher they will turn into Atheist Thereby preach preach preach !!!
Kritika Nickerson The problem isn't believing in magic fairytales alone but the bigotry and elitism in weight of other religions and communities
Yep that's what I wrote.. Intolerance at peak and superiority complex with a pinch of brain washing... Voila Extremism!
People can co-exist in spite of their religion, not due to it.
For example if you take take the Abrahamic religions too seriously, polytheism is the biggest sin you can ever do.
The books even demonize them.
That will plant hatred in your mind.
Not peacefully... Just look around you.

Atheists will watch them kill each other and see many of them finally wake up to reality.
Adam Finch we can only hope as I believe a conflict is inevitable
It won't happen in my lifetime (I'm 54) Jaime... I doubt it'll happen in your's. But it will..
I am not very religious in this regard...

Christianity and Islam claim to have monoplay of God... Both cannot exist peacefully with anyone.
Yup, Come to India!
except Islam.
Christianity, Buddhism, Zen, Hindu religions, Sikhism, Jain, Tao, Shinto, and others seek inner transformation. Islam seeks conquest.
Sure.. Just dont talk with pushy salesmen.. Of religion..
Not much. Look at the many wars we had and still have because of it.
Take two religions out of the equation - islam and atheism - and re-tally.
Atheism is lack of belief. It's not a religion. You are mistaken.
Potatos / potahtos. I recognise the Living God as supreme, you recognise the face in your shaving mirror as effectively the same. We each have a, "measure of all things," but in your world his name is Soi.
Good weed man.
My boyfriend is a Turkish Muslim, I am Christian. We are very happy together.
We focus on the things we have in common, and respect differences. He's not violent, and has never hurt anyone.
It is possible! My home is proof. Mutual respect is key.
Do you live in a Islamic theocracy ?
Not sure what that means?...
Exemple. Muslims in Saudi Arabia don't behave the same as Muslim in America....
I live in the US. I can't comment on muslims elsewhere.
I can
Only if both are tolerant of each other.
If each religion is taught to accept others for what they are! And the followers capable of knowing what's right and what's wrong and what can harm each other... I think they can coexist.
No they wouldn't because religion is segregation
Yes except Islam and Christianity

Muhammad Stallings you must be talking about other religion... This is not Islam
I hope everybody can see that this Muhammad Stallings is a Non Muslim trying hard to make people hate Islam more and more...
It's been this way for more than a thousand years.
Yes except Abrahamic religions.
And the trick, as you can see, is still working.
The gullible world.
So we live in the same world no matter what. To me choosing tolerance is choosing happiness. I am not going to get pissed the world does not agree with me, its stupid and narcissistic.

It is actually a very peaceful religion. A kind muslim represents most Muslims. The extremist just make it look bad.
We're fighting against the terrorist, and nobody is keeping tab about that..
yes
