Religion isn't a "leave at home" kind of thing. It's a worldview. And your worldview affects everything. Scientists who are religious often see their work as confirming the existence of whatever is at the center of their little universe, laws and theories in addition to themselves, a god, or God. An intelligent person that can speak fluently the language of the universe (math), and look at cold hard facts and still believe in God is impressive. So if these intellectual "gods" of sorts believe in a God, how could it be so illogical and how could it be superstition. Scientists are capable, with all of their knowledge and intellect, of being "superstitious"? The peasants and tribal people of our ancestry with no education and the bare necessities had superstition, but I hardly think well - educated, intelligent minds constantly bombarded with secular ideas in the 21st century would be prone to "superstition". It's a worldview. If they are correct, I guess they get the ultimate prize, if not we're all here by chance, life has no lasting value post-mortum, and the universe is a big beautiful accident.
‘Impressive’ to believe in something that has zero evidence of ever existing? I’m not sure you understand how science works. Most people believe in a god through indoctrination from birth. Then cognitive dissonance kicks in and the scientists that think logically can differentiate between real life and unsubstantiated fantasies
Such a good question... Since atheists claim science as their watershed yet the very scientists producing the science dont uniformly claim atheism... Quite a conundrum
Although a science education can be a strong catalyst for losing your religious beliefs, there are many scientists on both sides of the theist vs. Atheist.
lol ok? İ was Atheist and good in science i thought these things were shit... But when i read hinduism i changed and found science and philosophy in it
According to recent studies (available online) the majority of scientists believe in a god, of some sort.
But any good scientist will leave superstition at the door to the lab and pick it up again on the way out.
good scientist? You mean facebook Atheist?... Those who understand science.. Can understand religion too
Understanding it doesn’t mean it gets invoked in any science. In fact, it doesn’t. Science and sky fairies don’t mix.

Not just scientists, but any critical/logical thinker.

Yep
If anything it should be supremely easy and logical for the very scientists themselves to deduce that atheism is the path... But somehow they dont...
Cognitive dissonance at work. Even Einstein was a pantheist.
For this, I pretend it is just an idea unrelated to science
Although a science education can be a strong catalyst for losing your religious beliefs, there are many scientists on both sides of the theist vs. Atheist.
nope.. İf you study science you will follow hinduism
lol.. Ok
lol ok? İ was Atheist and good in science i thought these things were shit... But when i read hinduism i changed and found science and philosophy in it
the same thing Muslim also say about ISLAM.. The real scientist would believe in Islam.. Are they right too?
Not really
I’m very sure you’ll never find a credible science book that has any ‘god’ invoked in it.
Theist or atheist, science doesn’t care about superstitions.
science changes with time... Science creates problem and solves too... Atheistism killed more than religious poeple...
How many atheists killed people in the name of a god? Zero How many religious people have killed in the name of a god? Millions. Nice try.
How many Atheist killed in Nam of God?... Atheist don't believe In god... İnstead they think they are one of the
240 million people have been killed my Atheist ... İncluding Mao... The north koraen leader
And he didn’t kill one person in the name of a god or religion. Understand?
No but not a single one is preacher
Science has NOTHING to do with atheism nor theism
Goodness me who is known as the father of science
Atheists are a very small group globally
Go and get stats and who has won the most nobel prizes in science
The Christians
You can have Faith without Science but you can't have science without Faith.
Evidence
Faith in the 5 senses.
Faith that mathematics is perfect
No such Faith no science
dream on.
Not all. But they all start their research as an atheist to prove to the world
Some scientists are just DUMB and angry atheists
