Herbs... Damiana and Mulleen. You can roll your own adding these herbs with tobacco and slowly ween out the tobacco. There is a smoking mix sold by Happy High Herbs and it also releases the tar from the lungs from tobacco

Deep breathing excercises and meditation. During the day if at any time he is feeling stressed, have him touch the tip of his thumb with the tip of his middle finger (both hands) like you would do while meditating. By doing this it will instantly shift his frequency from a delta frequency to an alpha frequency and will help to blend the energies of the left and right hemispheres of the brain and will create symmetry and balance in his state of being. This is very calming and will help to increase self discipline and control over the addiction. Also works amazingly well when putting the hands together much like in prayer(blends left and right brain frequencies).

I've read if you take a sauna for 3 days, it detoxs the nicotine and you sweat it out regarding cravings, the smell of black pepper essential oil is supposed to curb cravings, and if you juice, grapefruit, purple onion and ginger open up the tubules in your lungs to breath again and fight cancer. Nicotine is a extremely addictive substance, therefore your mind must be on board with walking away.
I was a pack a day smoker for 10+ years then quit for 2 because I wanted it but found myself smoking again after being around loved ones who smoke, smoked for 3 more years then finally quit cold turkey again when the power of my sons words and sadness about me smoking took root in my mind and
walked away over a year ago.
I struggle with the addiction every day.
The 3-4 month mark was the worst both times.
I sometimes almost light up my boyfriends cigs but realize thats not just cheating myself but my son.
You dont realize how much time smoking takes of your life until you try and quit so its important you have hobbies/ crafts to do at home because youll be antsy. Learning new POSITIVE coping mechanisms to turn to when stressed can take a while to fully take root in your mind, usually it takes 3 months to change a habit.
But its constant bombarding of your mind, constant.... So to successfully quit you have to want it.
Its truly mind over matter.
Mind over the addiction.

I also watch videos of people severely affected by long term use and read how my body will change on the inside after so many months years have gone by after quitting and i even started running again which encouraged me to stay smoke free so i wouldnt struggle so much with breathing while running.
Im less irritable and have more energy!

Stop buying cigarettes. My mom got emphysema first, which had her on oxygen for about 15 years or so. She used lollipops.. Which I swear made sparks. A miserable addiction that causes you to shit on others in my experience. Either by second hand smoke when the weather sucks if they even CONSIDERED smoking outside. Eradicate big tobacco. Big pharma. AND BOOZE! The biggest bed partners in a spoiler country!

It is soooo hard to quit smoking. I quit 7 years ago, after many failed attempts. I tried gums, patches, acupressure, cold turkey, Noni juice. Many fails. I then got on Wellbutrin for 6 months, yes a prescription. It made me so I wasn't a bitch and mean and irritable. I then detoxed my body after that and haven't had a cigarette since.

My mother smoked since she was young a wise chiropractor told me to have her switch to American Spirit cigarettes. They are all natural and don’t have the chemicals and additives that the other cigarettes have. These companies put these chemicals in the cigarettes to keep you addicted to them. By switching over to the natural brand in time your body won’t crave them as much.

Most certainly. He needs to undo his perception upon his habit. Replace it with an ideal one that works for him. I was a chain smoker for years and gave it up instantly with no withdrawals but was me, we're all different.

Perception dictates our conscious decision making. We can mold it like clay. There are a number of ways of Changing the way he veiws cigarettes and smoking. Say if he through shear will stopped for two months, his perception would automatically change in a way where his mind would see no point in "needing" it but I'm not suggesting this approach. First he should think of a new ideal way of perceiving cigarettes to implement, like its deadly nasty sh! T that are horrendous to puff on which they are.

The worst thing people do when they want to quit smoking is they say, right here's my last fag, I'm really going to enjoy it!. This will only reinforce the far from ideal perception of how they think and feel about smoking, it's making it so much harder to break that cycle and convince themselves that that isn't what they want. They should before lighting that "last fag" Chuck it in a puddle, get it out and dry it then smoke it and cough and heeve with every puff, that'll be a crude but quick way of being turned off by smoking. I'm badly explaining this but seriously every addiction or habit that's been resolved has resulted in a change in perception as that's the root solution. Please look into this perception route because it can also be applied in all areas of life. I hope this helps!

If he's been a hard smoker for a long time, then he should incrementally cut down to nothing over a period of what's best for him as long as he is cutting down because the bodies physiology needs time to re adjust and re balance
